>GAGPROJECTS is a formulating concept, still under development. It is exciting to launch this new arm of activities, as a means to share ideas and facilitate all manner of things.
>GAGPROJECTS is an umbrella for activities that supersede the private gallery commercial imperatives. Our space in Berlin will remain flexible, allowing for short-term residencies or small installations; it will not operate as a conventional gallery.
Projects are not restrained by a specific venue: a GAGPROJECT may manifest itself as an installation in any country in the world, or present itself as a multiple, a performance or a screening. Projects need not be physically grand in scale nor do the artists involved need be already established.
>GAGPROJECTS hope to facilitate challenging propositions – adding to the existing group of organisations and individuals who have supported similar worthy ventures in the past and those who currently do so.
Working collaboratively with artists, festivals, museums, universities, writers, and like-minded people is fundamental to the success of GAGPROJECTS. Funding will be sought on a project-by-project basis, GAGPROJECTS acting as a conduit to help source additional finances.
